Srestha Banerjee is the Director of India Just Transition Centre (IJTC), an initiative of the International Forum for Environment, Sustainability and Technology (iFOREST). Her current areas of work include just transition, industrial decarbonisation, climate change, and environmental and participatory governance, with a specific focus on these issues in India and the Global South. She has authored and coauthored various reports, policy papers, and book chapters in her areas of work. Srestha holds a Doctorate in Environmental and Energy Policy from the School of Public Policy, University of Delaware (USA), and a Masters in Environmental Studies from Ohio University (USA). As a public policy professional, she has worked with India and US-based environmental and public policy think tanks over the past 15 years.
