Presently serving as Regional Lead (GBI)-Asia & Green Investment Specialist in Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI. During his 27+ years of professional career, Mr. Garnaik has served in Government, Bi-lateral and International organizations at various capacities in the field of energy policy, energy management, resource conservation etc. As Executive Director in Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL), a public entity under Ministry of Power, GoI during 2016-2022, he led many portfolios handling energy efficiency project worth of $750 mn apart from many other responsibilities He successfully led the South Asia Operations for EESL and generated ESCO markets in Thailand and Vietnam. As Director in Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India during 2010-13, he designed and managed PAT scheme and Standard & Labelling (S&L) program of India. He was engaged by Chiang Mai University, Thailand as a Policy Expert in designing the “Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)” Scheme of Thailand.
