Shruti Narayan serves as C40's Regional Director for South and West Asia, bringing with her a wealth of global experience spanning over two decades. In this role, she spearheads C40’s regional initiatives aimed at mainstreaming climate action for resilient and equitable cities. Prior to her engagement with C40, Shruti held key positions in prominent global organisations including Arup and USAID. She transitioned to C40 from the International Finance Corporation, where she focused on municipal financing. She has also been a visiting faculty at prestigious academic institutions as Stanford University, California College of Arts, and the School of Planning and Architecture. Her particular passion lies in collaborating with students and women-led groups, fostering the development of a robust and supportive community of climate champions.
