Mayank Aggarwal

Trustee and Editor, The Reporters' Collective

Mayank Aggarwal is a journalist with about 20 years of experience. He is a trustee and editor at The Reporters’ Collective. A Pulitzer Grantee, Mayank produces journalism in all three formats, print, multimedia and audio. His writing and reportage are focused on the intersections of environment, politics, economy, climate change, geopolitics, technology and development. He has worked previously at the UK-based The Independent, Mint, Mongabay-India, DNA, The Statesman and IANS. His work has been published, reprinted and hosted by media organisations in and outside India. He is also a media trainer and journalism community mentor, working independently with several organisations.
Over the last six years, as a journalist, and researcher, he has extensively covered India's Energy Transition journey. He has developed stakeholder consultation workshops on energy transition, designed fellowships and research reports, produced podcasts in English and Hindi, and recently published a research paper on India's renewable energy policies.
