Dr. Harikumar Ramadas, the Director of the Energy Management Centre (EMC) in Kerala, has significant academic and professional credentials, including a Ph.D. in Energy Management. Under his leadership, EMC has implemented key initiatives such as the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and the Perform-Achieve-Trade (PAT) scheme for energy-intensive industries. Dr. Harikumar also led the introduction of the first hydrogen vessel, the Energy Observer, to Kochi and initiated the Smart Energy program for students. His tenure saw EMC achieve numerous accolades and high rankings in energy efficiency indexes. His career spans over 34 years in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Where, he has held notable positions, including Director of the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research & Technology (ANERT) and Honorary Founder General Secretary of the Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM). He has extensive experience working with various national and international organizations and has travelled widely for energy-related missions. His efforts have significantly contributed to Kerala's advancements in renewable energy and energy conservation.
