Saurabh Diddi
Saurabh Diddi currently serves as Director at the Bureau of Energy Efficiency within the Ministry of Power, New Delhi. Prior to this role, he worked as a Senior Consultant at PwC Private Limited. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing energy efficiency and sustainability at both national and global levels.
One of his most notable contributions is his pivotal role in the Standard and Labelling (S&L) programme, which led to a substantial reduction of approximately 57 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. He has also been at the forefront of key initiatives, including the development of India’s carbon market and the formulation of the National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency, which has played a significant role in shaping the country’s energy policies.
Currently, he is actively involved in the development of the Indian Carbon Market and oversees several other programmes, including those related to energy efficiency in the building and transport sectors. His contributions have made a lasting impact on India’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency, supporting a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
