Pratima is a built-environment sustainability professional with over two decades experience across policy, strategy and investments. Over the years she has worked with national and local governments, asset owners, developers and financing institutions in Europe and Asia to help accelerate climate action. Most recently, she was the Asia ESG & Sustainability Practice Lead for AECOM, a fortune 500 company, based in Singapore. Pratima advises organisations on decarbonisation and risk mitigation strategies through to detailed business case for sustainability initiatives and investments. Her work has spanned national building codes, city climate action plans, business case for municipal initiatives, asset & portfolio decarbonisation strategies, and innovative financing approaches for scaling up energy efficiency programs. Pratima previously led the analysis to inform ‘Nearly Zero Energy Building Standards’ for the Republic of Ireland, which were introduced as a national standard in 2019. She also led a two-year project for the UK government on costs and benefits for making buildings resilient to extreme heat under future climate scenarios, and subsequently worked on related regulatory framework for England & Wales introduced in 2022. Pratima is member of ULI Singapore Sustainability Council, and author of several climate change policy and advocacy thought-pieces.
